Welcome back!

Welcome back to school for a new school year.  This is a very exciting time for our school.  The school has been working together with the Junior School for over a year on a number of projects that will benefit the schools both now and in the future,  such as a shared bursar and the creation of a Breakfast Club that is available for children in both schools.  A Joint Working Party is in the process of creating  a consultation document to propose a “Federation” of our schools some time next year.  This would mean that both schools would keep their individual identity, but would have a single Governing body and a single leadership structure.  This would make it easier for the schools to work together, share best practices, provide continuity, improve learning and progression for the children and enhance the range of teaching and learning opportunities to raise standards even further.  These proposals will be shared with parents and carers shortly.

In the meantime, I am very pleased to have been appointed as Executive Headteacher of both schools on a temporary basis,  and am looking forward to seeing both familiar and new faces over the coming weeks.
