Both Yatton Infant and Yatton Junior Schools are open as usual today including Breakfast Club.

Please take care whilst walking into school. If you feel that it is too dangerous to bring your child to school due to slippery pavements, and decide to keep your child at home, please phone in giving the reason for absence of your child in the usual way.

For the North Somerset area, the Met Office has said they have a 60% confidence level of the snow and high winds in our area tomorrow (Tuesday). The leading edge of the snow they expect to reach North Somerset at 15:00 hrs. For this reason, the Authority has instructed  that all Primary and Special Schools should close at 3.00pm onTuesday 12th January, to allow the majority of pupils and staff to complete their planned journeys before conditions deteriorate significantly.

PLEASE MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO COLLECT YOUR CHILDREN AT 3.00PM.

ALL AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES WILL BE CANCELLED.

Both Yatton Infant and Yatton Junior Schools are planning to be open as usual on Monday, 11th January (unless the weather conditions change) including Breakfast Club.

Infant School  children may be re-directed through the main entrance depending upon the conditions in the playground on Monday morning.

If you feel that conditions on route to school are too dangerous and decide to keep your child at home, please phone the absence line as usual giving the reason for your child’s absence.

A decision has been made to open both Yatton Infant and Junior Schools tomorrow (Friday, 8th January).  HOWEVER,  THERE WILL BE NO BREAKFAST CLUB.

Please ensure that your child has a warm coat and appropriate footwear.

North Somerset Council have made a decision to close all North Somerset schools including Yatton Infant and Junior Schools on Thursday 7th January.  There will be no Breakfast Club provision.

A decision will be made on Thursday afternoon about arrangements for Friday, 8th January.
